Young people from Mabopane and surrounding communities gathered at Word of His Power Ministries on 1 August 2026 for the SadiCares Youth Empowerment Seminar Series, an initiative designed to bridge gaps among communities, education, and opportunity by equipping young people with practical life and career skills.

The seminar featured experts in mental wellness, human resources, and executive coaching who shared insights to prepare participants for both personal and professional success.

The programme opened with a presentation by Ms Lebogang Motau, who addressed Mental Wellness and Resilience in Career Development. She highlighted the importance of protecting one’s mental health, building resilience and developing healthy coping strategies to overcome life’s challenges while pursuing career goals.

Human Resources professional presented a session on Getting Hired in Today’s Job Market. He encouraged participants to invest time in developing professional CVs and explained how artificial intelligence and smartphones can be used positively to improve job applications, prepare for interviews and increase employment opportunities.

The third presentation was delivered by Executive Coach Mr. Tshepo Matlou, who spoke on Career Growth and Professional Development. He encouraged young people to take responsibility for their personal and professional growth, stressing that accountability, discipline and continuous self-improvement are key to achieving long-term success.

The seminar formed part of SadiCares’ commitment to empowering young people through education, mentorship and skills development. Participants left the event with practical knowledge on mental wellness, career readiness and personal development, aligning with the organisation’s theme of “Bridging the Gap Between Communities, Education & Opportunity.”
